The Barbour County Chamber of Commerce will conduct its annual Career Day at Philip Barbour High School on Monday, May 7th,, moderated by attorney Hunter Mullens, pictured above. All Juniors and Seniors are invited to hear a panel of Barbour County employers who will answer questions about their places of business as well as employment in the industries which they represent.
Attorney Hunter Mullens will represent the legal industry and serve as the Moderator of a panel of eight business representatives including Pat Jones representing manufacturing and Delta Cooling Towers; Ryan Curry CEO of BC Bank for the banking industry, Susie Cvechko, currently a Barbour County Commissioner, representing the health fields, Mike Cvechko, owner of Cvechko Insurance for that field of endeavor, Philip Barbour teacher John Drubel who will answer questions about public school teaching, Sentinel Mine’s Tom Freeman for the coal industry, and an executive from the North Central West Virginia Airport Authority speaking about the aviation industry.
The panel will take up a teaching period starting at 8:37 a.m. and concluding at 9:24 p.m. Students will be allowed extra time following the presentation to meet with specific individuals of their choice. The open meeting will take place in the LGI Auditorium off the main lobby at Philip Barbour High School.
