Mike Cvechko, Chairman of the committee for the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, says there is strong interest among candidates in the forthcoming Candidates Night program at Philip Barbour High School on Tuesday, September 25th.
The public is invited to meet the candidates prior to the 6:00 O’Clock program in the school’s main auditorium when doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and candidates will arrive to set up tables in the Commons Area and greet visitors. Cvechko will again serve as Moderator for the evening.
According to Cvechko, positive responses have so far been received from Ed Larry and Chris Phillips, candidates for the West Virginia House of Delegates, Jamie Carpenter and Cindy Hart for the Barbour County Commission, and, running for the West Virginia Supreme Court Harry Bruner, Jr., Jeff Woods and Joanna Tabit. U. S. Senator Joe Manchin plans to send a representative, he says.
There will be plenty of time for questions from the floor and question blanks will be available at the registration table. The public is invited. Reservations are not required.
