Santa Claus and Wuzzy the Elf were a huge hit at the recent Barbour County Chamber of Commerce annual Christmas party.

The costumed Wuzzy entertained the festive crowd at Belington’s Laurel Mountain Inn with his guitar and made individually-crafted balloon animals on demand, while Santa delivered special gifts for every kid who showed up.

The annual Chamber Christmas party for members and guests was especially popular this year, thanks to table favors lovingly prepared by employees of Freedom Bank, and to Lilah and Ron Phillips from BC Bank and Builders Center who served as Santa’s helpers for the occasion.  Chamber President Reg Trefethen of the county Development Authority was the Master of Ceremonies while the staff of the Laurel Mountain Inn delivered dinners of choice to both adults and children.  Special guests for the occasion included West Virginia Senator Dave Sypolt and his wife Terri.

Pictured, but not in any order, is the large contingent of children who attended, including Carlee Cvechko, Gabriel Delauder, Isabella Duke, Jasmine George, Areena Harrison, Heidi and Helen Hoxie, Embree, Ethan and Talen Kennedy, Laura Linger, Gabbie and Parker Poling, Ella and Nora Ramsey, and Anakin, Ashton, and, the youngest at 2 months old,  Elizabeth Sickler.
