The Hot Dog Hut and the Barbour Country Club are the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce Members of the Month in November.  Bill Mick, left, is the elected President of the Country Club.  Teri Andrick is the Manager of Philippi’s Hot Dog Hut.

“The Hot Dog Hut is a long-standing Philippi Restaurant where the Manager and staff go above-and-beyond to ensure our loyal customers have a great dining and gaming experience,” says Andrick, and “where dine-in, take-out, call-ahead and curbside service are all available.  Our menu items are made to order and include affordable food in a quiet and pleasant atmosphere,” she says.  Daily specials at the Hot Dog Hut include homemade soups and sides.

The Hot Dog Hut is located at the West end of the Philippi bypass and South of the Covered Bridge on S. 119 at 11 Mansfield Drive. Their operating hours run Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 p.m. with the kitchen closing at 9:00 p.m. Telephone (304) 457-3200.

Teri Andrick attended Alderson-Broaddus College and West Virginia Junior College where she obtained her

Associate of Science Degree.  She was born in Indiana and moved with her family to Philippi in 1979.  Andrick was the Kitchen Manager at Chism’s Corner in Swayzee, Indiana, and has assisted in catering at Duke’s Steakhouse in Elkins.  She began work at the Hot Dog Hut in February of 2018 and was appointed Manager in June.  She invites you to stop in and enjoy great food and good conversation.

The Barbour Country Club, an Honorary Life Member of the Chamber, is a 9-hole par 70 golf course on U. S. 219 South of Philippi.  According to Mick, members of the Board of Directors and a host of volunteers resumed the management of the club in 2018 following a disastrous storm.  The course has been restored to its original design and provides a unique experience for the beginner or the more experienced golfer, he says.

The Barbour Country Club now boasts brand new golf carts, a snack bar and banquet room which is available for weddings, parties, showers, and meetings.  “It is a beautiful new venue,” says Mick.  The club offers single, family, and corporate memberships which run from April to March 30th of the following year.  Greens fees for non-members are available and welcomed.

The Barbour Country Club is available on Facebook and may be contacted at 117 Country Club Drive in Philippi, 26416.  Their telephone number is (304) 457-2156.
