Additional men and women would be welcome to join the Task Force, which depends on grants, gifts of cash, and in-kind contributions of equipment from the business community.  New members receive training and the loan of all necessary uniforms, radio, and equipment.  The group meets monthly and is frequently seen providing traffic control for parades, 5-K Runs, the Barbour County Fair, Blue & Gray Reunion, Halloween, and other county activities.

There are currently nine active members on the Task Force rolls.  During calendar 2016, an aggregate of 127 members volunteered 403 service hours during 37 different events and meetings.  (Photo courtesy of Linnea Walters.)
