Located in the Seneca Mall since 2009, Henry G’s Café may be entered from either the atrium or 110 Third Street, said Davis.  “Our comfortable, casual atmosphere features many made-from-scratch items and is just down the street from the Elkins Depot and the excursion trains.  Our walls are decorated with vintage photos of Elkins in years past and it is not unusual to find someone sharing memories of the people, places and events of yesteryear,” she said.

“Our non-intimidating menu offers something for everyone,” said Davis.  “Breakfast is served all day: choose eggs, pancakes or quiche.  Lunch selections include soups, fresh salads, burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads and the best quesadilla around.  Then there are the sweets-- traditional cinnamon rolls, scones, Joe Kelly’s famous sticky cinnamon buns, cookies, cakes and hand-dipped ice cream.  In addition to great food, we offer specialty coffee drinks, teas, milkshakes and smoothies.  Our coffee bar boasts the area’s widest selection of flavors and locally-roasted coffee beans,” she said.

“Henry G’s is within walking distance of many shops that are unique to our town,” said Davis. “Visit the railroad station and take a train ride through the mountains.  Or, tour Davis and Elkins College’s campus and discover the mansions of Senators Henry Gassaway Davis and Stephen Benton Elkins, magnificent examples of Victorian architecture located in the campus’s historic district. Or, take in a Branson-style music show at the Gandy Dancer Theatre, where live, local, talented musicians and dancers keep your toes tapping.  Then return to Henry G’s for a meal - or dessert and coffee.  Our regular business hours are Monday-Saturday 8 am-2 pm and Sundays 9 am-12 pm.  For more information call 304.636.1570, “she said.
