AES Laurel Mountain, LLC, and LifeTite Metal Products, both of Belington, are the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce Members of the Month for October.  Wayne Delapas, left, is the Plant Manager for AES Laurel Mountain.  Aaron Harris, right, is the Plant Manager for LifeTite Metal Products.

 

LifeTite Metal Products is a metal roof manufacturer offering metal roofing, metal siding, and trim components for the residential, commercial, and agriculture markets located at 131 Industrial Park Road - telephone 823-3771. Their three state-of-the-art roll-forming and fabrications facilities are located in Belington, Kenna, and Mt. Hope, West Virginia.  The company is in its second decade of operation and has become the preferred regional supplier of construction metal roofing and related materials.  As a direct supplier, the company sells to contractors, businesses, and home-owners.

AES laurel Mountain, LLC, is a wind-power generation operation in Barbour and Randolph Counties located on the Proudfoot Williams Road and consisting of multiple windmills  clearly visible on the mountain ridge separating Barbour and Randolph counties.  The electricity they produce is routed through the First Energy Grid Interconnection at the Leedsville Substation.  Their mailing address is 95 Turbine View Road, Belington 26250, telephone 989-8529.

Delapas is a cum laude graduate in Business Administration from West Virginia State University and was a project manager and control specialist during his 19-year employment at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant in Buffalo, West Virginia.  He was also a buyer for BF Goodrich Aerospace in Fenwick, and a purchasing manager for American Fiber Resources. 

A Fairmont native, Delapas was a United States Marine and is a Desert Storm veteran.  He is a life-member of the VFW, was Secretary of the Toyota Veterans Association, and was named a Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Expert by the Toyota Company.
