
The Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery and Surock Monument and Vault, doing business as Bryan Brothers Memorials, are the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce Members of the Month for April.

Mount Vernon is a perpetual care cemetery located on U. S. Route 119 adjacent to the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church and opposite the Barbour Country Club. The cemetery has grave lots and mausoleum crypts while the business, located at 631 Mansfield Drive, offers grave lot sales and service.

Teresa Surock is a graduate of Tucker County High School and holds Associate Degrees in Accounting and Business Management. She has more than 24 years of experience with monuments and cemeteries. Her businesses, Surock Monuments and Vault and Bryan Brothers Memorials feature monument-related sales offering monuments, vases, solar lights, cemetery date engraving, and restoration work. “We have three monument locations in Mount Clare, Philippi, and Parsons. Together, we have 54 years combined experience and offer a fair price” she says.
The Surocks have been married 23 years and have one son, Josh, who is currently serving in the U. S. Navy. “We are expecting our first grandchild any day now,” she says.
