Phillips is a native of Canton, Ohio who moved to Barbour County in 1975 where she has worked at BC Bank ever since. She is Treasurer of the Philip Barbour High School Band, a member of the Board of Directors of the Barbour Chamber, and the Children’s Coordinator at the Mount Vernon UMC Church.
BC Bank, formerly the Barbour County Bank, was incorporated in 1969 and opened for business in 1970. The bank is community-oriented and continues to serve its customers in the same manner it has for the past 50 years, Phillips says.

Owner Susan Jones is a native of Belington and a graduate of the West Virginia Business College and the Clarksburg Beauty Academy. She spent 18 years as a nail technician and has owned the Perfectly Pampered Salon for the past 8 years.
