The Builders Center and Alderson Broaddus University, both in Philippi, are the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce Members of the Month in June.

The Builders Center offers building materials, hardware, and appliances throughout North central West Virginia, says Phillips, and features “prompt delivery service and competitive pricing for custom-matching PPG paints, building supplies, kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixtures, plumbing and electrical supplies, home and farm hardware, and landscaping items.”

Builders Center is located at 16012 Barbour County Highway in Philippi, telephone (304) 457-1681.  Their web address is wvbuilders.com   Phillips, a graduate in Business Management from Alderson-Broaddus College, has been employed at Builders Center since graduating from high school.  He is Past President of the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Barbour County Board of Education, and Sunday School Superintendent at the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.

Alderson Broaddus is renowned as a leader in health-related and professional education”, Rogers says.  He is a Past-President of the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, a graduate of Alderson Broaddus College and the West Virginia School of Banking, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Banking, Past President and CEO of BC Bank in Philippi, former Barbour County Administrator, and Chief Financial Officer of Tahoe Management.  He is a former member of the Board at Broaddus Hospital, Barbour County Development Authority, Barbour County Airport Authority, Philippi Convention and Visitors Bureau, West Virginia Bankers Association, and Region VII Planning and Development Council.  He announced all of A-B’s basketball and football games while he was enrolled, and was the Football PA at Philip Barbour High School of over 25 years.
