Dr. Tim Barry, President of the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce (left) presented his 2020 President’s Award to Dr. Cecil Holbert who is accompanied by his wife Kelly Holbert during a recent Zoom meeting of the Chamber originating from the Trustees Board Room at Alderson Broaddus University.
The President’s Award is in the form of an engraved bronze eagle in flight and recognizes Dr. Holbert’s dedicated service to the community during the current pandemic.
Dr. Holbert is a member of this year’s Philip Barbour High School Hall of Fame. A native of Barbour County, he is a graduate of local schools and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Alderson-Broaddus College and his medical degree from West Virginia University.
Dr. Holbert was Chief of Staff at Broaddus Hospital for twelve years and is currently the Medical Director at the Myers Clinic, a part of the Barbour Health Association, and the Barbour County Emergency Squad.
