The Corporate Citizen of the Year is nominated and elected by the total membership of the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce.
The award, in the form of an engraved crystal obelisk, recognizes a business member of the Chamber who has made a significant contribution to the good of Barbour County during the year 2020. This year’s award was presented by outgoing Chamber President Dr. Tim Barry, left, to Richard Mace for the key role played by Mace’s Pharmacies in Belington and Philippi in dealing with the Covid-19 epidemic. Pharmacist Aaron Norris is at right.
“Mace’s Pharmacies have worked hard for more than twenty years to stay on the cutting edge of pharmacy, and to provide our patients with the best possible health care,” said Mace. ‘We provide after-hours service and home delivery in both locations. We cater to special needs and preferences, including medication flavorings, easy-open or child-resistant bottle caps, pill organization, pill-swallowing techniques, vaccinations, Medicare Part D insurance comparisons, on-line and mobile apps, convenience packaging, a medication sync program, and personal and professional service.”
Mace’s Pharmacies are located at 44 South Main Street in Philippi, telephone 457-4233, and at 204 South Crim Avenue in Belington, telephone 823-1001. Each location, in addition to prescriptions, provides counseling and has a selection of gifts, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, greeting cards and drive-thru convenience.
