Kris Warner, left, Director of the West Virginia Economic Development Authority, addressed a full house during the Annual Banquet Meeting of the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce. 

Warner and his wife, Joyce, received a basket of Barbour County products during their visit, presented by Chamber President attorney Hunter Mullens. 

Warner is a native of Charleston with a family residence in Barbour County.  He graduated from West Virginia University and the Leadership West Virginia program sponsored by the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.  He was appointed the state director of USDA Rural Development by then President Donald Trump in 2017, and since last year has been a member of the Board of Directors of the West Virginia Public Energy Authority and Executive Director of the West Virginia Economic Development Authority.  He and his wife have five grown children, all members of the U. S. Air Force.
