Located along the Middle Fork River and across from Audra State Park, the Middle Fork Campground is open from April 15th through October 15th and is a favorite destination of many Barbour County visitors. The campsites range from trailer-ready spots with water and electrical hook ups to tent sites with fire pits for convenient cooking and gatherings (ideal for singing and story-telling) in the evenings. Picnic tables at each tent site offer convenience while dining in the open air and enjoying the pleasant weather.
The bathhouse includes both toilets and showers to make personal care more comfortable. A swimming pool and hot tub are on-site for the enjoyment of the guests. Coin-operated laundry machines are ideal for long-term campers.
The nearby Audra State Park offers a camp store, so guests who are staying in Middle Fork Campground can easily stock up on snacks, bagged ice, firewood, and other essentials. There's also a playground where kids can be entertained.
The Middle Fork River is a perpetual favorite with both kayaking and fishing enthusiasts. A pavilion-style picnic shelter is available to rent. It can accommodate up to 50 people and has running water, electricity, and a large grill.
