
Bialek Insurance and the Tygart Valley Supply Store are the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce Members of the Month in May.

Bialek Insurance has maintained its office at 53 North Crim Avenue in Belington since 1997, merging in 2021 with Nationwide Insurance Agent Wes Brown, rebranding the enterprise as Legacy Insurance and Financial Services with offices in Belington, Elkins, Marlinton, Flatwoods, Gassaway, Sissonville, Summerfield, and Charleston. The new entity has retained all of its former employees, and offers insurance and financial services from Nationwide, Progressive, Encompass, Foremost, Safeco, State Auto, Westfield, Celina, Amer Mod, Municipal Mutual and others. Bialek’s parents were born and raised in Barbour County while Karen, the mother of three, has been involved with the Chambers of Commerce in Barbour and Randolph Counties, the Mountain State Forest Festival, Belington Revitalization Committee, Hubcap, United Way, Beta Sigma Phi, the public school system, and the First Baptist Church in Elkins. She was President of the Barbour Chamber in 2004.
The Tygart Valley Supply Store on the banks of the Tygart River is located at 100 South Crim Avenue in Belington and offers hardware, plumbing supplies, animal feed, and many seasonal items. Originally the Belington Farm Store which was established in 1940, the new store continues to excel in family-oriented customer service, and is veteran and family-owned with updated products modernized by E-Commerce.
The new store is open for business Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They have emergency telephone and text service in case of emergencies.
