Sandy Spotloe, left, received a Chamber Directors Special Award during the recent Barbour County Chamber of Commerce annual banquet from President Hunter Mullens.

The award, in the form of an engraved Alderwood plaque, honors Spotloe, a founding member of the Philippi Police Department Law Enforcement Task Force, which she currently serves as Assistant Chief and Quartermaster.  Spotloe has volunteered countless hours over the past twenty years providing security and assistance for public events in Barbour County, said Mullens.  “She also selflessly provides transportation for ailing veterans to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Clarksburg.  She is a blessing to our community,” he said.
